Meraki House

NOTE: The listed rate is for the ENTIRE space, your group does not share the space with other groups. The rate does automatically adjust depending on how many guests are staying and what days are being booked, so be sure to confirm the correct GUEST COUNT and DATES in your search. Meraki is a Greek word that means to pour yourself, your heart, creativity, and soul into what you do, and we have created this space in that very spirit. We invite you into it with hopes of it serving as a place to come fully experience life, love, and relationships. Perfection was never our goal. We transformed a former doomsday shelter into a retreat space and we had so much fun thinking creatively to make it work! The space is created with shipping containers which you will still see and experience, but we made it cozy and functional for you! There are 16 queen sized beds, split among 12 total bedrooms. 2 are shared bedrooms, and 3 are private suites with a bathroom area included. The main floor consists of a large dining room, a fully furnished kitchen to cook meals in, and a floor-to-ceiling fireplace with couches to lounge about. There is a game room with a few table games, as well as a couch and TV area. The main floor also has 3 standard bedrooms and 2 shared bathrooms. The second floor has 3 suites with private bathrooms, as well as 2 bunk rooms. The first bunkroom has 2 queen beds, and the second has 4 queen beds. There are also 4 standard bedrooms with skylights for stargazing. 3 shared bathrooms are also located upstairs. The outdoor area is a treat for all the senses! We love the outdoors and creating spaces for it to be enjoyed is a great pleasure! A pool and hot tub are included (NOTE: the pool will be closed off seasonally, likely from around September to May. The hot tub will be open year round). The pavilion has everything you need to play pickleball and basketball, and has an interesting hand-shaped lookout deck in the trees. Out back is an outdoor kitchen area with a dining area and fire pit, along with a sauna and tub perfect for ice baths. We also have a yoga deck nestled among the pines. You'll have to come and see for yourself all that the Meraki House has to offer!

SMOKING: All our indoor spaces are non-smoking. A cleaning fee will be added if there is evidence of smoke inside.

COMMUNICATIONS: Verizon and ATT cellphone coverage inside is not reliable but usually works on the outside of our spaces. There is fast wifi in the Orchard House and Meraki House. If you are staying at the Treehouse Village it is recommended that you download your favorite shows because we have wifi there but it is slower. The Forest Havens do not have wifi available.

MINIMUM STAY: A two-night minimum stay is required for booking on weekends. A three-night minimum stay is required for some holiday weekends.

CHECK-IN AND CHECK-OUT TIMES: Check-in time is anytime after 3 PM, except for the Orchard House and Meraki House, which is 4 PM. Check-out time is 11 AM, except for 10 AM at the Meraki House.

TAX: Includes Ohio bed tax of 6% and 7% sales tax if applicable.

DEPOSITS: Deposit is 25% of your total reservation.

CANCELLATIONS and CHANGES: If your travel plans change and you must cancel or change your reservation: Call or email us at least 14 days prior to your arrival date.

For Orchard House and Treehouse Lodge, if you must cancel or change your reservation: Call or email us at least 30 days prior to your arrival date. For the Meraki House, deposits are non-refundable.

AUTO-COLLECT

At the time of booking, 25% of the reservation balance will be collected. Payment for all gift certificates will also be collected. Applies to: all reservations.

SCHEDULED DEPOSIT

7 days before arrival, 100% of the reservation balance will be collected. If a reservation is booked "last-minute" (within the scheduled time frame), 100% of the remaining balance will be collected. Applies to: all reservations.

CHILDREN & PETS

Children are welcome with an accompanying adult. Children age 2 and under stay free. Pets are welcome. Pets must weigh under 100 pounds. Pets are allowed in all our spaces except for the Orchard House and Meraki House. They must be kept off of furniture and beds, or you may be subject to additional fees. The pet fee is $30 for all our smaller spaces, and $50 for the Treehouse Lodge.

CREDIT CARD SECURITY

Your credit card information is stored and processed securely.

LIABILITY WAIVER

MERAKI CANCELATION POLICY

For the Meraki House, the 25% deposit is non-refundable. The remaining balance will be charged one month before arrival, and is non-refundable past this point.
